The Tennessee General Assembly is struggling to conclude its business for the year.  The Senate announced around noon on Saturday that they had concluded its business, but the House adjourned on Friday night until the afternoon of Tuesday, June 8.  It now appears that the House will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Senate will meet on Wednesday, resulting in adjournment sine die.  Having adjourned sine die, this General Assembly cannot take further action as a group, except for committees or in special session. 

 

You will receive a summary end-of-session report along with a final bill report about two weeks after the end of session.  We need a little time to let the electronic system catch up with action on all final bills as well as to give Matt and me a chance to dig out the detail in which you will be interested.
